Drapery

I really liked using the shading technique for the folds of the curtain in this one as I feel like it conveys the shine of the heavy velour fabric really well. I also liked painting the gold tassels and ropes and think that I did a good job in how clean they are. The shine effect was done by having a gradient from white to green paint on the brush so the white was only on the one side for each brush stroke. The only thing I wish I had done better was the shading on the ropes and tassels as I again underestimated the thickness of the small sized brushes. Besides that, I enjoy how it came out as it’s a good first try of painting something like this.
